In a narrow valley, formed by the Pollares mountain ranges, that are ramifications of the Villuercas. It is the most Southeastern door of the Villuercas and its populated locality more. The term characterizes by the extensions of its meadows, being the main activity the cattle ranch, is vacant retinta and the Iberian pig. It is transition between the serranos towns and low territories of the Fertile valley of the Guadiana, forming extensive surfaces of rañas, denominated "tables"

    It bathes the Ruecas river to him, with a medieval bridge.

This Logrosán villa of Consuelo by its devotion was also called to the this Virgin. She is famous by his mines of tin and fosforita, at the present time closed.

Its church of San Mateo of end of s. XV  has gothic origins and clear samples of Renaissance Art of s. XVI, keeping in its interior a beautiful protogótica sculpture of s. XIII, the Virgin of the Holm-oak forest, patron of Logrosán.

It has a museum ethnographic, with numerous pieces of agricultural use and  cattle donated by the own population.

  The seat of the City council presents/displays, beautiful soportales with galleries of arc of average point, conserving itself still some facades of satately houses of s. XV and XVI between its streets.

In its environs they emphasize the preRoman ruins of  San Cristóbal, and beautiful and encinares, with abundance of low mount.
